Unforgettable conga line in 1999

Join us May 4th at the 2002 Preservation Ball as the Art Deco Society of Washington honors The Architect of the Capitol for the recently completed restoration and preservation of the U. S. Botanic Garden Conservatory.

Ball Night

Peaches O'DellCelebrate the restoration of this 1930s Washington landmark and enjoy an evening of dancing to the world's greatest swing dance music, dreamy romantic fare from the 1930s-1940s, and Latin rumbas and tangos performed by Peaches O'Dell and Her Orchestra.

Take a romantic stroll through the lush tropical gardens. Sit and linger in the moonlight. Snack on the gourmet hors d'oevers. Pause for a drink at the open bar in a desert oasis.

Black tie or white tie: Deco and Vintage attire is encouraged. Zoot suits are welcome.

Free valet parking!

Take Metro to the Ball, a short walk from the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station on the Blue, Green, Orange, and Yellow lines. Metro will be open until 1 a.m. (Check with Metro for latest departure times to your destination.)
