Come and take a Sentimental Journey with us as we travel through the decades of vintage fashion!
The year's theme, "Sentimental Journey," will focus on the fabulous fashions of a bygone era when travel was not only a means, but an occasion to dress with style.
The Evening's Program
| 6:30 pm: | Pre-show cocktail party featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and live jazz music. |
| 8:00 pm: | Fashion show featuring day and evening attire from the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s, with period music and historic commentary. The show will also include special intermission entertainment. |
| After the Show: | Sale of the items shown in the show, along with other vintage clothing and accessories. |
New Location
This year, we've doubled the size of our ballroom in response to the sellout crowds we have had for the past two shows. The marvelous mid-20th century Washington Plaza Hotel is our new show sponsor and venue. The hotel, located on Thomas Circle in Northwest Washington, was designed by architect Morris Lapidus, famous for that Miami Beach icon of luxury, the Fontainebleau Hotel. Lapidus has recreated his sweeping signature look at the Plaza; its elegant ballroom, lavish marble lobby, and movie star-style marquee are perfect for our event. Order your tickets early to be assured of a seat!
Tickets
General admission tickets may be purchased at the door for $40. No more online or phone orders will be accepted.
Reserved tickets will be held at the door. Look for the "Will Call" table.
Refund Policy: Because we must contact people on the waiting list to resell your seat, cancellations must be received by October 20. If you call 703-898-0284 or send email to fashion@adsw.org by October 20, you can cancel your reservation for a full refund.
