For a third year, ADSW's Exposition of the Decorative Arts will be a major component of the new Northern Virginia Antiques & Modernism Show and Sale.

This year's show will feature over 40 dealers offering Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Mid-Century Modern, including Bakelite, chrome, clocks, Heywood Wakefield, Herman Miller, Blenko/Higgins glass, posters, prints, furniture, barware, kitchenware, vintage fashions, books and ephemera, and lots more.

The show also features over 100 general antiques dealers offering fine furniture, formal & country, silver, crystal, quilts, oriental, Meissen, KPM, art glass, bronzes, watches, ceramics, prints, paintings, jewelry, oriental rugs, antiquarian books, and lots more.

“This show is unique in this area of the country,” said Arthur Farbenbloom of Pappabello Management, who collaborates with the Arlington Kiwanis and the Art Deco Society of Washington.  Until 2007, you had to travel to Manhattan for Stella’s Pier 94 to find a show with specific sections of dealers devoted to 17th-19th century antiques and other sections with Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern items.

Other services at the show include:

  • Paul Nulton: Glass Repair Service
  • Hidden Treasures: Appraisal Service (oral only), Sunday, Noon to 3 PM
  • Art Deco Society of Washington: Art Deco display booth and presentation
  • La Madeleine: food service

The show has ample free parking and a shuttle from the Virginia Square Orange Line Metro on Saturday (10 AM to 3 PM).

The ADSW and the Kiwanis will benefit directly from funds raised by this show. Proceeds support the preservation and educational programs of the ADSW and community projects of the Kiwanis.
