WASHINGTON DC MODERNISM SHOW CELEBRATES 35 YEARS

Washington DC -- The Washington DC Modernism Show, formerly known as the Exposition of 20th Century Decorative Arts, or simply the Deco Expo, will mark its 35th anniversary April 28th and 29th at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, Virginia.  The show, which suffered a near death experience in 2013 when an ice storm forced early closure of the event, has come roaring back, growing in size and stature in each of the 3 years it has been held in partnership with D’Amore Promotions’ D.C. Big Flea.

The 2018 show will be held in the North Hall of the Dulles Expo Center adjacent to The DC Big Flea, running concurrently in the South Hall. One admission is good for both shows.

Washington Modernism show attendees can

  • view and reserve a collector car for use in their Spring wedding or other special event,
  • try hands on activities including a telegraphy key and oscilloscope in the special exhibit created by the National Capital Radio & Television Museum
  • tour a vintage travel trailer
  • shop with dozens of Art Deco and Mid-Century vendors, and
  • park their antique car in specially designated spaces (Sunday only).

Among the new dealers joining the 2018 show are

  • Jazz Age to Machine Age from Los Angeles
  • Really Good LLC from Panama City, Panama and Boynton Beach, Florida
  • Toys of Olde from York, Pennsylvania
  • Mark Bassett pottery from Lakewood, Ohio
  • Altoonafish from Altoona, Pennsylvania
  • Auerbach & Maffia from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and
  • Antiques from Home from Bethesda, Maryland

Show hours are Saturday, April 28th from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday, April 29th from 11 AM to 5 PM. The $10 admission is good for both the Modernism Show and the DC Big Flea.
