On Sunday November 20th longtime ADSW friends Joe Pigg and Jeff Strine will host a reception at their home in Northwest DC. The house is a well preserved example of one of Washington architect Joseph Abel's Deco era designs with signature Art Moderne interior elements. Collections of Art Deco radios, hood ornaments and toy robots play off the streamline interiors.
The house is one of a set of row houses that has been recognized by the AIA Guide to Washington Architecture as unique in combining the Moderne and International Styles with the row house form. Joe and Jeff hosted our members several years ago. It was quite a popular event and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to do it again! Attendees will have access to the home's public rooms and garden.
This will be a late afternoon cocktail event featuring an open bar and a buffet of heavy hors d'oeuvres. We hope you can join us!
