ADSW Fellowship Award
In 2024, the Art Deco Society of Washington (ADSW) announced the creation of a new Fellowship Award to support scholarly activities and to foster an appreciation of the arts and culture of the era. The Award, which includes $5,000 to support educational expenses such as tuition and books, is geared toward early career professionals, specifically Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows (the latter within the first 2 years) in the areas of Art History, Preservation, Architecture, Cinema, Film, and Theater. While potential themes are necessarily broad-based, application topics should contribute to an understanding and appreciation of the art, design, architecture, decorative or cultural arts of the Art Deco period.
